If you’re like me and you love a good festival, be it for the music, the drink, the food or just the general vibes a festival brings, or all of it in my case, then like me, this might be the perfect style of wedding for you.

When I got married, 16 years ago, my husband and I wanted a super relaxed feel for our day. We had quite a small budget for our wedding, so with a little bit of persuading we held our wedding in my parents back garden. The aim was to have a relaxed garden party with great music, informal meal options, lots of drinks and 80 of our favourite people to celebrate with.

Since becoming a wedding photographer festival style weddings have always been a big draw for me and I absolutely love capturing them. From festival weddings, like my own in a family garden to bigger festival style weddings at more dedicated and larger venue options I have captured them all.

Having a blank canvas to plan the day exactly as you want it is one of the biggest benefits.
