- frequently asked questions -
Booking a photographer for your wedding can be a daunting task and not something you do everyday, so below I have added some answers to some frequently asked questions that may help you on your journey. Of course if there is anything I have missed that you would like to ask then please do get in touch.
How far do you travel?
I shoot wedding all over the South East of England, including Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Kent and generally cover a 60 mile radius from my home at no additional cost. I am more than happy to consider weddings further afield but this may incur additional travel expenses.
How do we secure you for our wedding?
Once you have found out I am available for your wedding date, you can secure your date with a non-refundable booking fee payment of £400 along with the completion of my online booking form. The remaining balance is then due 4 weeks prior to your wedding date.
How long have you been shooting weddings?
I shot my first wedding in 2005 and have been full time for the last 6 years, shooting a limited amount of weddings per year, approx 20 - 25
How long will you be with us on the wedding day?
If you have booked me for a full day this usually starts 2 - 3 hours prior to the ceremony time. I will then be with you through until about 30 minutes after the first dance. If you have booked me for a half day or specific amount of hours then this can start and finish at times suitable to you.
What equipment do you use?
I have 2 Canon camera bodies, a mark 3 and mark 2, I also carry a range of both prime and zoom lenses
Do you shoot group shots?
Yes, of course, they are an important part of your Wedding day and you family will be expect them. I do however always suggest limiting the amount you have so that you can enjoy your day and I can be free to capture you and your family in more relaxed candid way. So if you are looking for lots of group shots I may not be the right photographer for you.
How many images do we get?
For a full day wedding I will supply a minimum of 500 carefully selected images. The final amount can vary from wedding to wedding and I do not limit the amount you receive.
What happens if you're sick?
It hasnt happened yet, but of course there is always the chance that it could, but don't worry, I have been in the business for a long time and have built up an amazing network of fellow photographers who I could call upon should the worst happen. I would always do all I could to find a replacement for you.
Are you insured?
YES! I am fully insured for both professional indemnity and public liability as well as of course having all my camera equipment fully insured.
Do we get colour and black and white images?
I supply all of your images in colour and I also duplicate about 30% of them into black and white. I love black and white photography but do think it can be very subjective and not everything works in black and white.
If there is anything I have missed that you would like to ask then please do get in touch, no question is too small.
