SIAN + RICHARD // JEREMY'S RESTAURANT // BORDE HILL GARDENS
Thank you so much to Sian and Richard for letting me share and capture their day with them, it was an absolute corker and you are both two of the most lovely chilled out couples I have ever met.
So not only for this wedding did I get to enjoy the stunning surroundings of Borde Hill gardens and the fine cuisine and hospitality from Jeremy's restaurant we also did what I never thought would happen! Can brides climb viaducts.? Oh yes they can and woah!!! is the only response I have!
Following a gorgeous ceremony at st Margaret's church in Ifield Crawley we stopped off on route to Borde hill gardens at the Balcombe viaduct. Having discussed this idea at Sian and Richard’s pre wedding meeting I was so excited at the prospect of capturing this. But following a recce visit with my two sons i thought there was no way a bride could climb through and up into the arch ways below the viaduct, so had thought maybe at best a few shots in the field with the viaduct in the background would be good enough. Sian, however, had other ideas and with ladder in hand and dress hitched up we clambered through thorns and long grass to reach the ultimate goal, and achieved what have now become some of my favourite wedding shots ever!
The setting at Jeremy's restaurant within Borde Hill gardens is idyllic, with a stunning walled garden, grape vine archway, orchard and pond and far reaching views across Borde Hill gardens. With the restaurant itself transformed ready for the evening celebrations and the marquee outside set up for the Wedding Breakfast this is a venue I would certainly love to photograph at again. The weather conditions and light were perfect on the day and Sian and Richard have totally stolen my heart with their attitude towards the biggest day of their life!! So calm, and chilled. Awesome!
Sian’s creativity and vision for the day was impeccable, designing the gorgeous floral print which became part of so many aspects within the wedding, from the order of service cards at the church, to the table numbers, place names and favour boxes. Incorporating the same colours that then made up her amazing bouquet and flowers of blues and pastels, put together by the very talented Bloom Room florists.
With the Bridesmaids in stunning floor length pale blue dresses and the guys in Blue suits with tan shoes, everything was put together with perfection!
Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day, I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
