I thought I would round up my reflection of my 2014 Weddings by sharing with you my absolute favourite moments that this years Weddings have given me. This year has seen me at many different venues, including, Upwaltham Barns in Chichester, Hendall Manor Barns in Uckfield, Hotel Du Vin in Brighton, Hotel Seattle in Brighton Marina. The fantastic Yoghurt Rooms in East Grinstead, a couple of visits to Stanmer House, Brighton and not forgetting the gorgeous Wotton House near Dorking. Photographing for the first time at the new and gorgeous Long Furlong Barn in Findon (images to come!!) and the fantastic National Trusts Nymans Gardens in Handcross. I love photographing weddings because I love capturing the genuine moments, the moments when people don't know you are there photographing - an intimate kiss between a couple, the hug from a dad to his daughter as he hands over her hand in marriage. The little giggles of embaressment between a Bride and Groom as they read their vows to one another.
The many moments between the Bride and her girls in the morning getting ready, the moment the bride is in her dress for the first time, the chaos of the final minutes of the Bride and Bridesmaids getting ready, the first time the bride and groom see one another. And of course the moment the Bride and Groom climb in to their His and Hers roll top baths (full dressed) in their honeymoon suite just for fun!
The happy moment the Bride and Groom walk up the aisle together after the ceremony, finishing with fantastic high five in the air, or a big hands up in the air scream for joy or to my absolute fave bare foot dance down the aisle whilst singing Happy by Pharrel Williams.
Capturing couples sharing their love for one another with their nearest and dearest is an absolute honour and one that i shall never take for granted. I am so thankful that couples put their trust in me to capture these moments that they can look back on and cherish forever.
