If there is one thing that I have always wanted to tick of my wedding photography bucket list then it has to be photographing a wedding with men in kilts. Early in my wedding season this year that is exactly what I did. I travelled slightly further than I normally do for Robin and Helens gorgeous Rustic Wedding at the beautiful Clock Barn Wedding Venue in Hampshire, but it was well worth the journey, even if it was quite possibly the worst rain you could ever tackle the M25 in! Luckily I arrived with an hour to spare, so plenty of time for a quick lunch in the car before I went off to meet Helen and take some gorgeous scene setting shots in and around the venue. Clock barn is an absolutely stunning rustic wedding venue with huge vaulted beamed ceilings and as is the name suggests a historic thatched clock at its entrance. With a mixture of a scottish and Easter theme, the venue was decorated beautifully, with table arrangements of garlands of variagated ivy, interspesed with tied posies of blue thistles, gypsophilia and solidago. With matching bouquets of yellow and white flowers with blue thistles.
Even with the weather being poor and the rain not letting up this certainly didnt dampen any moods and we still managed to venture in to the lane leading to the barn for some lovely couple shots, and of course I couldnt miss out on a shot of all the guys in their Kilts, Tick!!
For the final bit of fun before my day was over Robin and Helen had, instead of a traditional first dance, a scottish ceilidh dance with all of their guests. Absolutely amazing fun and a little mayhem to finish the night.
Huge huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Stewart!!
