Nikki and Andy held their Wedding at the beautiful Buxted Park Hotel in Sussex back in July 2016.. And what an amazing day it was.
I arrived early in the morning to the hotel where Nikki was getting ready with her 4 bridesmaids. Bridal prep has always been one of my favorite times of the day to capture and this has to be one of my favourite mornings ever. All the girls were so so lovely and the room was laid out perfectly with plenty of room for all the girls to get ready without being on top of one another. If only everyone could have a bathroom the size of the one in this room!
As Nikki and Andrew were getting married at Buxted Church, a short walk from the hotel it also meant that Andy was also getting ready at the Hotel and I was able to nip out from being with the girls to capture a few shots of the guys getting ready too, which always makes a nice change for me as it not very often I personally get to capture the guys.
The heavens opened just as it was time for the girls to walk over to the church, which although not ideal timing it did make for some of my favourite shots from the day with the girls all tottering over in stunning dresses and high heels and enormous golf umbrellas to keep them dry.
Following the gorgeous ceremony at Buxted Church Nikki and Andy were treated to an absolute monsoon of confetti, They were completely engulfed to the point of not actually being able to see them! Hahaha!
With the Bride and Groom portrait shots half done and the group shots completed it was time for the Wedding Breakfast and speeches, leaving a bit of time for after the meal when the sun was lower in the sky to take some more bride and groom shots. Something I always recommend to my couples having summer weddings.
An absolutely perfect Wedding day, with a perfect couple and amazing guests and a stunning venue, what more can a Wedding Photographer ask for!
Nikki and Andy you guys are fab and I wish you lot and lots of happiness for your future together as Mr and Mrs!! Xxx
