Back in October last year I had the pleasure of photographing Mikela and Fouad’s gorgeous autumnal wedding. My absolute favourite season of the year and actually my favourite time of year to photograph weddings. With so many fabulous colours of reds, yellows and oranges of the leaves changing colour and the sun low in the sky creating lovely soft tones..Mikela and Fouad held their ceremony in the beautiful Sussex village of Slindon at St Richards Catholic Church. With this time also being a popular time in Slindon when they hold their annual pumpkin festival. The village was busy, bustling with people though all of the tiny quaint village roads.
Following the ceremony it was time to head back to their reception venue, Long Furlong Barn in Findon. A gorgeous barn in the middle of the south downs with far reaching views across the Sussex countryside. The stunning grade 2 listed barn has been lovingly restored to create a beautiful warm atmosphere for any wedding at any time of year.
Following some gorgeous Bride and Groom portraits in the walled garden and outside the barn it was time for the guests to be seated. Mikela and Fouad had made the most of their autumnal themed wedding with beautiful orange purple and red hanging lanterns and fairy lights hanging from the ceiling in the main barn. It looked simply stunning.
With the wedding breakfast over and evening guests arriving it was time to get the party in full swing, starting with the traditional cutting of the cake and then straight into the first dance.
An absolute gem of a wedding and one I shall not forget quickly. Massive congratulations to Mikela and Fouad, I wish you all the happiness for your future together. xxx
